2010 A Pieceful Time Retreat

Pamper yourself with our
fabulous retreat at the new Holiday Inn Express at Arlington Ridge,
just 3 miles from A Piece In Time Quilt Shop! Choose to work on Cindy
Casciato’s amazing Ribbons of Valor project, Sandy Heminger’s
Cut No Curves Drunkard’s Path, or both! Or opt for our Open Sewing
Studio to get all those unfinished projects completed. We’ll throw
in a fun field trip and games to keep you in stitches all weekend long.
Work at your leisure while sharing with fellow quilters, stay up late,
or get up early, this retreat is for you. Customize it to your own needs
and sewing style! We’ll handle the details so you can keep sewing.
The guest rooms at the Holiday
Inn Express hold two plush queen beds, mini fridge, microwave, coffee
maker, wide screen TV with cable, wireless data connection and more.
The hot breakfast buffet runs from 6am-10am in the dining room, and
will jumpstart your day and energize you for sewing! The hotel’s
fitness center and swimming pool will keep your blood pumping and your
body refreshed.
Your three day, two night
stay will include teaching time with Cindy and Sandy, sewing space,
your double occupancy sleeping room, a light dinner on Friday evening,
breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, dinner on Saturday, followed by a
fun field trip for dessert, fun and games at A Piece In Time. We’ll
mix in plenty of demos, bonus projects and lots of fun to round out
your experience!
A gourmet coffee and tea
bar is open all weekend in the hotel dining room. If you tire from sewing,
enjoy the fireplace and TV in the lobby. The hotel has an elevator just
beyond the sewing room for convenience to the sleeping rooms on the
upper levels of the hotel. Handicapped rooms are available. Open sewing
will start at 1 PM on Friday, and classes will commence after dinner
Friday.
Cost for this fun-filled
weekend is just $219, extremely reasonable for the quality teaching,
accommodations and service. (No bunkbeds, community shower or meal schedule!)
Deposit of $119 is payable upon registration, with final payment of
$100 due by August 15. Space limited to 40 attendees, so please register
early. Rate based upon double occupancy. Single rooms available for
$100 extra.

Skill Levels
To ensure your success, classes have been identified as follows:
- Level 1 Has
a sewing machine and knows how to operate it
- Level 2 Can
quickly and accurately rotary cut without assistance. Maintains
1/4" seam allowance without help.
- Level 3 Knows
most fast machine piecing techniques, strip piecing, etc.
- Level 4 Intermediate
skills.
