A Note from Sandy . . .      

Wow, what an amazing Spring and Summer we have planned for your quilting pleasure! This newsletter is loaded to the margins with all sorts of projects to keep you in stitches! From our Guest Teachers to our Use It Up! Classes, Shop Hops, quilting events and more, you are going to enjoy all we have to offer you this session!

First, we have Sue Wilson, certified Cotton Theory teacher, coming to teach Betty Cotton’s “Cotton Theory Quilt” techniques with a wonderful reversible totebag on Saturday, May 23. Learn lots of tips and techniques with this fun quilt-and-embellish-as-you-go style.

On August 1, Shirley Stutz will return to teach her new Instant Gratification with Broderie Perse Machine Appliqué class. That’s a big name for a fun project with a phenomenal teacher. Have Shirley help you with your machine appliqué techniques as you learn her exciting shortcuts.

Linda Everhard is back to teach you about fun and easy Machine Felting. In addition to some favorites, Eunice is focusing on several hand techniques that every quilter will love to add to her repertoire. Charlotte is offering her annual summer Kids Quilt Camp plus a new Sewing Group for non-quilting projects. Janet is offering some beginning sewing classes to get newbies off on the right foot.

We are offering our fabulous Use It Up! Classes once again. Lots of fresh new models are hanging for your enjoyment! We are also holding many recently requested Electric Needle classes, like Storm at Sea, Mariner’s Compass, Ties to the Past and Denim Rag Quilt among others.

Don’t miss our Quilters’ Fling Shop Hop running April 29-May 2, with the Quilters Fling group of shops. Maps and free passports can be picked up at any of the participating shops. You’ll receive a free block pattern at each shop. Our theme focuses on Making A Difference, and we will be accepting your quilting and crafting supply donations for the Community Stitching Post at the Women’s Prisons during the Hop. See page 19 for donation details.
